About Summize

Summize is a specialized search engine for easily finding user reviews.  We scour the web for actual reviews, not just pages containing the word "review" such as "be the first to review!" or "0 customer reviews." We find that really annoying and a huge waste of time.

At Summize, we also don't like to toil all afternoon (at work, of course) reading review after review after review.  We're working really hard to avoid the "review fatigue" problem so you can spend your time on more fruitful tasks, like... exploring StumbleUpon or Digg.

One more thing, we really don't like search engines returning the same bunch of indistinguishable shopping and review sites.  You know, the usual suspects like Bizrate, Shopping.com, Shopzilla, Pricerunner, Pricegrabber, Dealtime, ZDNet, CNet, and so on.

"Hey, wait just a minute, isn't Bizrate the same as Shopzilla?  Isn't PCMag the same as ZDnet? And both powered by CNet reviews--which in turn is powered by Pricegrabber? And isn't Smarter.com reviews really just Epinion reviews which are the same as Dealtime and Shopping.com reviews which eBay owns?"

Actually, it's even more complicated than that and we find all of this madness massively annoying and a royal waste of time.

Our vision at Summize is to "Summize Everything" from Auto reviews to Zimbabwe Attractions and everything in between.  "Hey, but you guys don't have autos and travel!"  Excellent point.  Not yet we don't, but we're working really hard on that too.

We currently provide a Summize Experience for Electronics, Cameras, Books, Movies, Toys, and other useful things you find at Amazon and other top caliber review sites.  We provide clean, straightforward, un-duplicated results so you don't have to piece together the information on your own.
